Guided quarry tour – TOURS OFFICIALLY BEGIN, MONDAY MAY 1ST 2023
The guided quarry tour takes you to an overlook of the Smith Quarry. At nearly 600 feet deep, it is the largest operating deep-hole, dimension granite quarry in the world. A one-of-a-kind tour experience, not to be missed while visiting Vermont.
The tour is approximately 40 minutes in length and typically runs rain or shine.
Tour times: 10:15 am, 11:30 am, 1:15 pm, 2:30 pm, Monday thru Friday

Borrowing a Pass
- Fletcher Free Library cardholders with no fines and who are 14 years of age or older may borrow a pass.
- Use of the Museum Pass program is limited to twice per month; patrons must visit two different locations.
- One pass may be checked out to a patron's card at a time.
- Loan period is 2 days.
- Reserve a pass online with your ID and password, or by calling the Main Desk at 802.863.3403 ext 0.
Pick Up & Return
- All passes must be picked up during library hours. Passes may be returned in the book drop.
- Individuals will be charged $3.00 per day late. Passes may be returned after hours in the book drop on the day the pass is due without accruing a fine.
