The Fletcher Free Library hosts Telling A People’s Story: African-American Children’s Illustrated Literature at the Main Library from April 3-30. The 12-panel exhibit offers a lens into the cultural, historical, and social makeup of African-American cultural identity, and sheds light on the long-neglected world of African-American authors and illustrators.
Join us for an Opening Reception on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00pm with artist Ekua Holmes, and on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30pm for a talk with artist James Ransome.
