hoopla goes live Wednesday, June 6, 2018! Instantly borrow e-books, comics, audiobooks, music, movies and television, with no holds, and no waiting! And there's no need to worry about late fees; hoopla features an automated service that returns your item once your item is due. Content can be streamed to computers, tablets or smartphones, and can be downloaded to mobile devices to allow for offline viewing any time. You can check out up to 4 items from Hoopla each month.
If you are a first time user, create a hoopla account by clicking on the link to the hoopla site and selecting "Sign Up Now." When creating your account, enter your email address, a password and your library card number. (Our Library does not use PIN numbers with hoopla.) Stream movies and TV shows with Kanopy®
The popular on-demand video streaming service Kanopy is now available for free at the Fletcher Free Library. Offering what the New York Times calls “a garden of cinematic delights,” Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 titles, including award-winning documentaries and acclaimed films, rare and hard-to-find titles, and classic films, with collections from The Great Courses, Kino Lorber, and PBS among many others.
Users can watch Kanopy films on a variety of devices and platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, iOS and Android, and Kanopy is also compatible for hearing-impaired (with captions and transcripts) and visually-impaired patrons (compatible with technologies such as JAWS).
