Housing discrimination is against the law! Learn the basics of federal and Vermont fair housing law and how you can support your clients. We will cover protected classes, exemptions, reasonable accommodations, how to file a housing discrimination complaint, the investigation process, and remedies and penalties. This interactive workshop is designed for refugee and immigrant service providers and open to everyone. There will be plenty of time for discussion and resources to share with your colleagues and clients. Presented by the CVOEO Fair Housing Project and Vermont Legal Aid’s Housing Discrimination Law Project in partnership with the Refugee & Immigrant Service Providers Network (RISPNet) and the Fletcher Free Library. Space is limited, so please register in advance at www.tinyurl.com/FairHousingOct25.
